I grew up with hip hop. Loved the genre and was allowed to develop within the culture as it developed. Most white dudes think of rap as something cool but not more than that. It’s a costume or hobby. Not a unique culture born of pain, sweat, dreams and black America ambitions.

Reddit is a cesspool especially in discussions about race or music.
