1 - it's attention whoring...burning a jersey is an easy way to get people to notice you...especially when you take time to setup the cam, record you burning said jersey, then upload said video...

2 - it's a new form of lynching...it seems like it's only non white player jerseys that get burned after they've 'wronged' the team these people cheer for....they never burn white player jerseys, even if they do the same thing...
