I’m not saying hand out consessions, I’m saying grade it for what it is. shyt isn’t wack by any standard. It’s a solid 8 for a “popcorn flick” and a 6-6.5 overall. “Cool”, “aight”, “okay” are all fitting adjectives to use for it, but it’s not “wack”
Most people in here aint seen it. They're judging it by the trailer.
The trailer is fukking up that movie's money. That trailer is a huge deterrent from seeing it.
I saw the movie by accident. I definitely had no plans to see it.
But I did see it. I was wrong. It's a solid popcorn flick. I would watch it again.
It wasn't an orgy of negative stereotypes like the trailer would have you believe.
But again, the quality of the movie is not the point of the OP.
I'm talking about how the cac reviewers are thrown for such a loop by the lifestyle of a rich Black drug dealer.
"There are naked women! People get shot! They have so much money, wear nice clothes, live in nice houses and drive beautiful cars!"
The fact that they're caught off guard by that speaks to how they feel about Black people achieving status.
It's like how the bummy kid comes to school one day with some dope ass kicks on and nikkas go on and on about it. It's not the kicks, the fact that HE got em that sparks the conversation.
