It's like this. We seen Melo clones in Jabari Parker and Michael Beasley. Getting buckets is cool but if it takes you 12 seconds to stare a guy down and jack up a contested two then how valuable can you be to a team?

Rudy Gay had the same problem. Melo is the best iteration of that style of scoring but it's just an ineffective way to win games.

You can have that or have a guy that can is 7 foot, shoot threes, post up and whip the ball all around with very little wasted possessions.

Bron’s such a major target and relies on teammates, he’d be food. I mean he’s gonna catch a couple bodies, maybe Sean Marion gets overly aggressive and catches a spear to the chest right out the gate, but I think he’s gonna get caught slipping.
