Last I checked we never called each other black in Africa. It was white supremacy that created blackness as a concept. Before white people told us we were black, we were just whatever tribe or ethnic group we belonged to. So obviously since they created what it means to be black then their legal definitions for who is or isn't black is what matters.

The laws during slavery and Jim Crow were very clear. People with Andrew Tate's lineage were legally categorized as black and were subject to the same discrimination as other black people. That is why "passing" was a thing. People with black ancestry who didn't clearly look black had to leave their loved ones behind and create new identities to escape racism because in America it wasn't just how you looked that made you black but your lineage.

Andrew Tate is black according to American law. Get over it.
