This a product of allowing these white boys in our culture all haphazardly and also allowing the young generation to continuously disrespect the origins of this genre because we afraid of being called "old heads"

:beli:

I been saying shyt like that. Most CAC Hip Hop heads are scared of the magical potency of 1970s sould music from black folks. The 70s was legitimately the BEST time black folk stood out musically and our creative zenith was established.

CACs like him listen to trap beats and techno, thinking that black folk are making marginally talented garbage.

Didnt see the vid and dont want to. But tbh this is all a generational thing. Majority (not all) kids these days just dont see the point or allure in sampled music. Cant blame them either tho. If its not a component of their generation’s soundtrack then where’s the argument? And yes, there is plenty skill needed and showcased in modern era trap/drill/club records and anyone who thinks different is either distant from the art, a non participant, or just blinded by a bias.

I mean, I absolutely love sampled music. Dilla, Pete Rock, and Marly Marl are huge influences to my own production, but this whole convo is kinda synonymous with how 50s folk rock got outshined by the electric guitar and the burgeoning of rock and roll in that same time period.

Mostly all black kids in general in this generation all lack soul.
They have a lack of soul.
On some c00n shyt...
That somewhere in the lessening of crime by three to four times. That entire realm of black kids generationally. Have no gateway or interest in black nationalism.
Which stems from misappropriation. Then the younger generation thinking because the century changed. From 1900 to 2000. Every child bron in the 2000's think they are futuristic. Not knowing nuffin is futuristic about the time they live in. As well as it being sterile and devoid of soul and black nationalism.
They have a fake thing about them where they diss any semblance of history. Then act like they are freedom fighters. While having no scope or direction about black nationalism. As well as dissing amy gateway to black nationalism ala music like public enemy.

If you are around to wrangle them into the right direction.

You can possibly get them interested. If they are not born into being exceptionally into music. Music has a near impossible noob gateway to understand.
So I am glad a parent like you has done the ground work to steer them in the right direction.

Preciate it handshake.
