I think u are rite. Things are going to have to get much worse first. I do think these last 3 or so years are waking ppl up tho. Trayvon, Michael Brown, that SAE chant vid, the S.C cop shooting the man in the back on video, the church massacre, etc. All of these things are slowly waking us up to who has been our REAL enemy the whole time. We've been successfully lulled to sleep to the point where we actually equate "good" with white and "bad" with black. We have been conditioned this way for 400+ years. To control a mass group of people, you need to have control of their minds. And thats one of the reasons i bring up modern-day hiphop so much. Its KEEPING us (specifically the youth) in an ignorant, me myself & I mindset. Its teaching them that other black people are the enemy. Its teaching them that black women (who we are supposed to be the protectors and providors for) are merely h0es and sex objects. Instead of teaching them to support black business and the concept of circulating money within the community, it teaches them to put money in all hands BUT black hands. Ive even seen a spike in recent years in music promoting drug use. The #1 rap album rite now is an album titled Dirty Sprite (yall figure it out). The best way to destroy a group of people is to infect the minds of its youth. Well thats exactly whats happening. Most of the youth today are too busy getting "turnt up", sippin lean, stuntin for Instagram and tryna be the next Lil Wayne or Steph Curry. This is the most "white washed" generation yet and will continue to be until we learn our own history. Thats another big problem. We are unaware of our own history. We have little to no "racial pride" (something else that was purposely taken out of black music). And not only our history but the history of the white man also. Ima keep it 100 with yall, but i had absolutely no idea about the Black WallStreet Massacre until maybe 6 months ago via The Coli. Thats something that EVERY black should be taught. We HAVE to know who our enemy is and how they've intentionally oppressed us for hundreds of years up until today where its still happening. If we were truly aware of our enemy for example, there's no way us as black people would even acknowledge things like 4th of July and Thanksgiving. Thats just 1 example of how brainwashed we are as a people. Not only do we sing and dance to music that glorifies and promotes the genocide of our own race, but we also celebrate our oppressors holidays. We need a MAJOR MENTAL OVERHAUL. Hopefully we are at the beginning stages of this and the time period that we are now in will be looked back on as the spark that ignited the flame.
