This is new to me, I don't spend much time on Tumblr so the first time I heard this argument was yesterday and I've yet to see someone argue against the point she raised in an effective way, not even in this 15 page thread. Yes, Blackface is racist, that's the low hanging fruit on this tree of a troll, it's used to draw a comparison to a trans person wearing an item of the opposite sex to show the world that they identify as that sex, she's wearing Blackface to "come out" to the world as Black, the stereotypes, watermelon and chicken were meant to draw comparisons between a transgender person who uses stereotypes about the opposite sex to justify why they feel like they're that sex.

I think that people would see it more apparently if she didn't use Black people to illustrate her point, because it's obvious that many people can't see the entire picture being painted because they get hung up on the racism and dismiss everything else.

That's exactly what she was doing.

I still have yet to hear anyone shut her argument down, and the reason is because the comparison she draws between transethnicity and transgender is damn near perfect. I've looked all around the Internet for someone to give a reason why transethnicity is invalid and transgender is valid, and as much as some people tried, their reasons were basically, "it's problematic and harmful", not good enough answers for me.

What sucks is that people of the coli are too stupid to see that. They're too busy getting offended.

I get the point she's making, in fact, I've busted out laughing several times reading her tumblr but I don't
feel I need to show any form of appreciation for it, which is practically saying you support it.
It's a good jab at transexuals and could potentially spark conversation but the more I read her tumblr it's pretty clear she doesn't have nearly as lofty an aim as is being presented by you.

I'm gonna laugh then I'll move on but I won't attempt to elevate this LCD tumblr trolling on the net to legit social commentary.

I find it amusing that no one has explained why the idea of transgender is valid and transethnicity isn't which is the larger point being made.

because you can't, its not that what she is doing or stating is funny, the absurdity of it all is what brings about a laugh.
a white person going around saying they are now a black person because they 'feel like it'
and a man going around calling himself a female simply because he 'feels like it' are both stupid and absurd.
the audacity for anyone who calls themselves intelligent to cosign these type of 'movements' in the name of progress can only bring about a burst of because of how stupid it is.

A) historically unaware
B) naive about globalization
C) white supremacists
