What about when two people rob a bank and one of them shoots and kills someone. The other person should just be charged with the robbery?
And what if someone puts a hit on someone ie they tell their boys to go after someone, they didn't necessarily pull the trigger.
Whole thing isn't black and white and the law knows this.

He should've gone to prison, but he shouldn't have been charged with second degree murder or received a life sentence. We can call him a piece of shyt and still ask that he receive fair treatment

The law is very clear
If you are committing a crime in a group which leads to someone dying, then whoever they manage to catch will be charged for that body.
C his people were assaulting a child and one of them shot the kid and killed him. Unfortunately C murder got caught and refused to drop a name so the body is on him. This isnt a case of him merely being associated with the suspect, he was doing the crime right next to the suspect, he was personally involved in the altercation that led to that kid dying
