Black women knew about entire side families their men had. Might cuss and fuss, but they didn't kill KIDS. Might sling lye on the mistress or pour grits on the cheatin' man, but no minors were harmed, damn it!
Black women didn't have the luxury of postpartum depression, either. Gave birth on Monday, got back to cooking and cleaning and supporting the family by Thursday afternoon at the very latest. Not much leisure time to hatch revenge plans and catch feelings.
