Dude be making some real power moves.
The way he was able to create that interview show and that panel show with the comedians and turn it into a multi billion dollar multimedia company is amazing.Foreal. I would always catch him on his late night show back in the day when we didn't have cable. Thought the nikka was corny. Little did I know
Breh you ask too much all these restrictions, be the change you wanna see.
YOU go buy ABC.
I love itThis is just a foot in the door. Sure, he is black, but his wife is white, his kids are mixed and they will date and have white kids also, his money and empire isn't going into black hands or black people who need an identity in ownership in today's modern world.
What would be "great" and "awesome" is a black man with black woman woman and black kids owning a major outlet. Not a black man with a white mom, or a black man with a white wife, or a black man with a mixed wife. Black man with black parents married to a black woman with black parents, who have black children, no one gay, no one adopted, no one foreign, no one mixed. Then we can say we got here on our own without assistance. Then if they divorce or one of them dies, or the legacy gets passed it can stay black and not end up in the hands of someone white (again).

Businesses and entities are made to be sold and while it would be awesome to pass it down to your seeds, your seeds might want something totally different out of life, so then what happens? The business gets sold. It's not a restriction. Sure it'll be neat to have a major black media outlet for 10-20 years. Then it'll go back to being white owned.
I just think it would be cool to have full black representation. Not black representation that also has to cater to "I'm black, but my mom is white" or "well my wife is white"....or "my wife is was an immigrant" or "I'm black but I'm also gay." Not something temporary, like being in our hands now but being taken away, given away, sold, taken back, whatever in a few years or decades.
Whenever "black" people get something or do something it's never fully for us, we always have to part and parcel, share, divvy up, split the profits, piggyback off of.
That and because ABC is established, I wouldn't want it. If I ever had it it would be "oh well, he got it because they were failing!" Or "well ABC was #1 at one point, he'll never get it to that point!"
ABC has decades of history. I'd want to create my own and have my own, not tarnish some great legacy or be blamed for the downfall of someone else's. I'll have my own, if it's a success, it's a success, if it fails, it's on me. Now if I ever became big enough with my own network to buy ABC, or discovery, or Disney, and assemble a media conglomerate like everyone else did, yea, I'd do that. And honestly that's what what he's doing, I'd want to add that to my successful portfolio, and pass it down, keep it black.
The concept of generational wealth is foreign to some. I want to remove black people from that list.Businesses and entities are made to be sold and while it would be awesome to pass it down to your seeds, your seeds might want something totally different out of life, so then what happens? The business gets sold.
