That means either Witt or Yale (likely both) purposely misled the media and fans about circumstances in order to craft a favorable and outrageously indecent narrative. We were played for fools by those playing in and promoting the game. It also means Yale started a quarterback who was facing a sexual assault charge. If you're surprised this sort of thing could happen at an Ivy where - wink, wink - no athletic scholarships are offered - you've been made a fool of again.

Militant ignorance allows corruption within college sports to thrive. It's not just that fanbases and general observers have been tricked, it's that many of us want to be tricked. We enjoy the sleight of hand, the rabbit out the hat, the playing card plucked from behind the ear. We want a magic show. And as with magic, the covering up of fraudulent and criminal activities in college sports depends on the indulgence and complicity of the audience. We want our coaches to be heroes, our unpaid semi-pro players to be students, our universities to represent values that the institution itself doesn't adhere to.

If I were to tell you the things I've seen at Upenn.........man....I can't even talk about it here without getting people in trouble. Man

And here's the thing, because the NCAA doesn't force students transferring from Division 1 to Division 1AA to sit out a year so many students who went to BCS schools go to Ivys to get playing time and even tho there aren't athletic scholarships there are definitely perks for athletes.

And Kappas wear make up. Im convinced. I remember going to YardFest during Howard's Homecoming one year, and there were a group of them there with make up, eyebrows plucked, and over-processed curls. We didnt have them on my campus so this was my 1st time around them. The prettiest dudes Ive ever seen.

Still, the Qs were next level of scust. They were pretty much a gang in purple and gold. They only had 2 of them on campus but 30 of them would come to parties.

Its funny too. The Sigmas were the top frat on my campus because it was them and the Iotas. Cats only joined the Sigmas because they were the only ones not suspended. When the other frats came back, the Sigma numbers fell.

My school was medium size. like 5000 people total. so that means we knew all the minorities. especially the black folks. after my freshman year, we quit going to parties on campus if it was frats involved cuz no one wanted to see a bunch of grown men twirling candy canes. we typically had parties in the dorms, or at our boy's crib who stayed off campus. hell, that's where everyone kicked it. they ended up moving in the apartment below us my jr and sr year, so between me and my 3 roommates, and them 4 nikkas down there. we all kicked it. and everyone was at our crib. baseball players, soccer players, basketball players (we ain't have football team). hell, it more nikkas comin thru our spot to chill than at the official sanctioned parties those last couple years

Seriously, I enjoy making jokes about frat dudes as much as anyone, but the bottom line is that there are plenty of chill ass cats who have pledged and I don't want this thread to turn into a kappa-bashing fest just because of some jokes I cracked in one of the stories. There's really no need to straight up call other posters in this thread fakkits and shyt just because they rock with a frat.



Plan to drop at least two more episodes today. Hoping to get to XIV by the end of this week. I know these joints have been switching between story and essay form... XIV is the one that will be straight up some story shyt along the lines of Against His Religion. I'm actually kind of nervous about sitting down with those memories and trying to translate them to y'all. I owe it to my dude Rome to get it all right.
