Where you shop at homie? Amazon has plenty of first day releases under $20

Not catching feelings just don't understand why you're making the thread telling cats its a waste of money. That's you telling everyone how we should spend our money.
At least my opinion and they created discussion which might help me find out where to find Blu-Rays for a cheaper price and see other viewpoints of why it's good to but them.

I never told anyone how to spend their money.

I clearly stated in the OP that "I personally " feel this way

It's not about them being unique, most cinema heads just like to have a nice bluray collection due to superior audio and video quality compared to streaming formats that use compression that deteriorates audio and video quality, your everyday person could care less, a film head typically cares.
That makes sense.
I was not dating anyone or judging anyone but thank you for telling me that because now I know Blu-rays have the best quality so I might actually buy more of them instead of waiting for them to come on TV.

I would just like to pay $15 or less for them.

You can cop them for 15 or less on the reg tho man. Plus again like @Sensitive Blake Griffin said, quality counts for a lot. Great video and great audio count for a lot if you're a film geek so it makes sense to have a nice collection especially if you've paid money for a great tv with great sound, and picture and clarity etc

For example I want to buy 10 Cloverfield Lane on Blu-ray because I really love that movie but I can't picture myself watching it anytime soon LOL

I also love the wire and mr. Robot and Game of Thrones but I just don't see a point the purchase them when I have HBO Go

To be honest I think this has more to do with frugality disease because I grew up poor and now that I got money it's like I feel guilty whenever I spend money so there might be a deeper issue this actually LOL

I purchase clothing I travel I purchase food and I also buy video games and I have a backlog right now

That makes sense. It's all about what you put value on. Like I love games but I don't buy a lot per year even tho I'm starting to buy a lot of older games that I either never played or just gave up stupidly when I was younger. And yeah I didn't grow up poor so I can definitely see how that would affect you or someone in your position.

And I'm sure cloverfield lane will be $5 on Black Friday homie so I suggest you eat then. I don't buy as many movies as I used to not because of streaming but it just comes down to how often am I going to watch them so the purchase has to be warranted. Respect tho I completely get where you're coming from

The quality is noticeably superior, but then again I've had people tell me they can't tell the difference between DVD quality and a Blu-Ray or 1080 so I guess it depends on the individual. I personally love to smoke some weed and watch a great Blu-ray on a weekend night. All blu-rays are encoded differently also and thus have a range of picture quality amongst themselves as well. There are certain films that are fukking breathtaking in that high a quality. I can't imagine what 4K and the future will bring.

That is a very smart idea I only buy mine on Amazon when they're Dirt Cheap or at Target and like the little bargain bins

But I see a lot of posters on here say this is a first date cop when it comes on Blu-ray which is at least 20 to $25 and they're acting like they're special and now they're catching feelings because I share my opinion I did not judge anyone
$20 is usually day one. But they do go cheap quickly.

Especially fox releases are usually $10 only a few weeks later.

I rarely spend more than like $8 for older releases.

Actually disc releases been getting cheaper the last few year. I copped a 4K disc for $23 just last week

And i feel like they drop so quickly because of the competition with streaming, the economy doing better by most accounts, and just the overall glut of media out there. Plus they produce so many damn blu rays now, you gotta move them shyts off the shelf

Someone on the blu forum suggested studios only give a shyt about disc sales for 6-8 weeks after release and then let em get cheap

Had me like:jbhmm:

And for movies 5 years or older it's always cheaper to cop the blu than streaming.

Catalog titles have a set streaming price of $13.99 while the blu will be like $7.50 and include the ultraviolet copy as well.
