You don't think cars should be a hobby? I understand not buying something you can't afford,
Yeah I am not a car guy but I understand people having different interests. I'm sure I spend a lot of $$$ on things that people from the outside might think is silly.

A used Hellcat with an abysmal credit score and a $1300 note when you make like 4K a month is just incredibly irresponsible

my car will be 10 years old come january. I've had it for 7 1/2 years and this shyt has been paid off for 4 years.

I have ZERO interest in buying a new car or a car note. besides the starter going out this summer ($250 fix), I've had no issues with reliability.

My shyt is 23 years old, in great condition. I got it for free when my cousin bought a new BMW. I’ve had new cars, and I don’t see myself ever having a car note again. If I can’t pay for it, then I can’t afford it. A new car is nice, but just not worth it, when that money could be going to investments or something.

I heard someone make a point by saying that compensation is because they can’t afford real life shyt like a house or whatever so the best they can do is go all out with a car knowing they probably will never get to achieve that house dream

Sad state of affairs, and truth be told o don’t like how folks be overpricing shyt, domestic vehicles should be cheap as hell, anybody should be able to get a mustang or hellcat or a Durango if they wanted one, especially after they got bailed out years ago

Yeah, it’s like when hœs have fancy baby showers, because they’ll never have a wedding.

What about GAP insurance :lupe:

u shouldn't be upside down on a car. current car I have, I paid 23K for in 2017 (it was a 2015). I put down 10K and and financed the rest at 3% with a $299 car payment for 48 months. ended up paying it off in 2 years 11 months and been car note free ever since.

the point I'm making is my car was never upside down cuz I didn't finance the entire amount and brought in a sizeable down payment. thus I'd never need to have GAP insurance.

I was ready to come and shyt on the salesman, but even he asked this guy if he really wanted to be paying 1/3 of his income on a car.
That was fake concern bro. He ain’t turning that money down that he gets off the sale. He would’ve hung up on dude if he really cared.

They can be a hobby, but hobbies are based on your income. Let’s keep it 💯. Dude just wants to flex without earning it. He said he makes 3000 on a good month. People with that kinda income and only $1500 to put down, don’t need muscle cars. That’s for when you have a great career or when you retire.

Yeah I am not a car guy but I understand people having different interests. I'm sure I spend a lot of $$$ on things that people from the outside might think is silly.

This is why I always laugh when coli talks about everybody struggling living check to check without mention that a lot of folks out there just make bad decisions. No way in hell dude should be spending $1500 on a car, but that seems to be a case with a lot of people.

As far as new cars, yeah they expensive, but if you trade in a paid off car and cash, it shouldn't be too hard to have something new every 5 years. Hell if I had the income I'd pay myself a car allowance

these people hell bent on getting a car. it's not like he trying to sell them top of the line cars. he just getting them outta they :trash: payment and putting them into a slightly less :trash: car payment. it's still better than what they had before.
