For all the times I've read this, I have never heard this uttered ever.
The BX is gentrification proof. The only way to gentrify it is to nuke it.

There's a St. Nicholas Avenue in Bushwick, I used to live off of Starr and St. Nicholas. I was trying to see what the cross street was in the video but couldn't make it out. Then some of the cutaway scenes, the area did look mad familiar, but couldn't be sure it was actually my old hood.
Yeah Northern Brooklyn been done gentrification wise. Greenpoint and Williamsburg was basically dunzo by the time 2000 rolled around. By the time I left in 2005, Bushwick was starting to feel the heat.
I think this is the case for B-More too. It's been gentrified here and there in small quantities, but it'll be generations before cacs will be able to infiltrate the majority of the hoodFor all the times I've read this, I have never heard this uttered ever.

The property had inherent value. The Bronx has an eternal disadvantage there geographically which the other boroughs do have, which is why I say you're better off nuking it.like "they" wanted to come to Bushwick/BedStuy. inability to afford manhattan drives most to find new territories to claim, when the w'burgs and bushwick's get too croawded and expensive, they'll be looking for a new place to plant the flag.

you near st. rays?*Chris Rock voice* I'm sayin NEVER!
The BX is like Staten Island in that the area is damn near exclusive to the people there for different reasons. Any hope of The BX returning to what it originally was went away with the construction of the Cross Bronx
