This was all over $1 to get on a bus? Why can't bus driver just do his job and let the girl on the bus.

uh, first of all "his job" is to not let her on the bus if she don't pay

but anyway, apparently she "couldn't find her money"

then she found it, paid, and stood there talkin shyt for like 5+ minutes. then shyt escalated when she put her hands on him. dude's also claiming she spit on him, but obviously you wouldn't be able to see that in the video

I don't know about there but over here it's actually written that bus drivers are NOT to do anything more than tell the person how much the fair is. Any amount and the driver is to continue about his business, people just choose to pay the right amount

he been doing that for 22 years, I don't think he should lose his job because of these circumstances but he should of just played it off and went about his business instead of engaging her and giving her an opportunity to escalate. I don't think anyone should be harassed in their place of work, but bottom line he is the professional

I don't know about there but over here it's actually written that bus drivers are NOT to do anything more than tell the person how much the fair is. Any amount and the driver is to continue about his business, people just choose to pay the right amount :

I saw all types of public transportation shenanigans in SF. usually if someone was making an problem and holding up the bus, one of the passengers would just pay for them. one time this bus driver just acted like he didn't notice, but then the transit police got on a few stops later, and the driver pointed out the none-payer
