I enjoyed Sheamus taking a bunch of Ls once they stopped his original massive pushback in 09/10 (whenever he came over from WWECW)
I know a lot of people here weren't WWE fans in the late 2000s/early 2010s, but one thing I'll say that they did better back then compared to now is they gave their younger guys more of a chance to shine. Some of them didn't work out or were overlooked, but at least it seemed like the company was embracing their future and letting the new generation run with the ball. Sheamus, Miz, Swagger, Morrison, McIntyre, Ziggler, Truth, Kingston, Del Rio, Barrett, Riley......all of them were given title shots or put in notable programs and had a chance to be part of the main event.
Nowadays, whenever young guys get something going for themselves or show star potential, all of their juice is taken away from them before they can even have a chance to drink it. I don't know how they're doing with the new generation this year, but I feel like once Rock and Lesnar came back, along with Undertaker and Triple H becoming part-timers, they started saying "fukk the youth" and made those guys higher priorities, alongside two or three main roster guys they actually invested in (Reigns).
