I understand building a team for the WC is more about players' relations than performance and that a charismatic and experienced captain like Casillas needed to be in. But he shouldn't have started simple as that. Casillas and the old guard are simply here because Del Bosque and them are friends. Barça had their worse season this year and there were like 7 players starting the last match. Spain demise is Del Bosque's fault IMO.

I agree. I just think del bosque way and someone like mourinho way are different

del bosques squad was champs so he was finna ride or die with his guys. mou would ride with the hot hand. I definitely prefer the mou way, but it also can fail tbh, if you start to lose, players and media can get on your back.
