Mad inaccurate.

The 90's generation that's still touring and making music in NY and Cali, both still support their own artists. If you go to Hiero Day in Oakland, you'll see Hiero bringing out mad underground artists from the area, but also from other regions.

In NYC, dudes like DITC, Caz, Kid Capri, Large Professor and mad others always have a million shows every year, including just a few over the past couple weeks featuring a bunch of NYC legends. And not just MC's, but deejays and all that. Diamond D and Buckwild are doing a joint tour right now for a beat battle showcase they put together for the fans. NYC's Golden Era artists have always stuck together and worked on ways to tour and get money together. Nas was just touring with Wu. 50 is touring with Busta. LL got a tour right now with Rakim, De La, Jadakiss, Slick Rick, Salt & Papa, Queen Latifah, Redman, etc. Dres from Black Sheep just said recently that he loves seeing how NYC's legends always come together to support each other and keep the legacies alive and thriving.

NYC has way more known older Golden Era artists than any other region, and they're always touring together and recording. Constantly. So Bun is just talking sh*t for the sake of it. There's literally never been a period when that wasn't the case with the older artists. They've always supported each other and stuck together.

This a lie. Fabolous still does shows just fine in NY. Jodeci, Dru Hill and SWV just played a concert at Coney Island.

The sheer size of NYC would show that just isnt true. Theres enough venues and people where artists who had a following will still bget people

With NYC sure its BEEN an issue

Not sure about LA. I’ve heard of super regional rappers in LA and really throughout California who get mad support and sustain good livings just off being independent and regional.

I don’t know how Houston’s independent/regional support is compared to LA’s
