It's funny how every couple of years a wrestler will randomly have the "I'm Broke and Lost Everything.... I'm a bum" gimmick....

Remember when guys like DDP, Big Show and HBK randomly became broke bums storyline wise?

I guess it's Baron Corbin's turn to become broke and live though dem HARD TIMES daddeh! The ironic thing is that the fact that Corbin is allowed on tv everyweek and have matches means he still getting paychecks but is broke somehow .

On the real, the "broke and sad" gimmick is so slept on in wrestling. It legit pushes midcard and flabby wrestlers to the moon in some weird way.

When I saw they were doing this and finished one segment of it I was 100 percent down with this angle. I cannot believe they allowing a WWE Superstar to be portrayed like this, having financial woes, looking like a bum on purpose.

Brilliant stuff, and a gimmick that will finally let fans latch onto Corbin, because he's not that bad at all really. Gonna have huge face traction when the natural turn completes on this.

JBL's performance appraisal was one of the greatest heel segments I've ever seen. The whole crowd was raining boos on him and you really felt for Shawn in that moment.

Told Shawn that if he won their match at No Way Out, he could open up a restaurant called "Shawn Michaels" and make Shawn his little dancing monkey to promote it.

They can go in so many directions with this gimmick….

They can do vignettes of Corbin applying for jobs, working at fast food joints, warehouses to make ends meet, homeless living in tents, etc.

They need to bring in a kayfabe wife and kids to add more depth to the story and have it where he loses his family and he’s on a quest of redemption to win them back.
