Rajon Rondo is making an impact on the Bulls already

's not often a 10-year NBA veteran visits summer league. Rarer still is seeing such a player sitting on the bench.

And while Rajon Rondo obviously wore street clothes during the Bulls' victory over the 76ers Sunday night, the new starting point guard talked to players like Denzel Valentine throughout the game and engaged during timeouts.

Call it the NBA's reigning assists leader first helper.

"He wanted to be there," coach Fred Hoiberg said. "He's a good presence for those young guys to see. The guys who will be on our roster next year have to have great chemistry with him. I think it says a lot about Rajon."


Indeed, this is no typical Bulls' summer-league entry. Beyond Valentine, Jerian Grant, Bobby Portis and Cristiano Felicio will be on the regular-season roster. Spencer Dinwiddie may too.

Hoiberg said when Rondo verbally committed to the Bulls, he told him he wanted to come to summer league. And after the game, Rondo got in a late-night workout at a local gym.

"He was giving us some insight and what to look for on the court," Valentine said. "He's a big help. He told me to slow down and survey the floor. He's a championship guy so he knows what he's what he's talking about. I'm trying to get all that knowledge."

I remember a game from the 14-15 season at philly he was bustin the bulls ass dropped like 22 hittin mad 3's

What about a wing bulls need a wing who can defend wade don't defend like he use too and he's probably gonna miss 10-15 games

Signing seems like they don't see someone in their future and gar ugly ass is on espn still talking great about jerian so maybe Dinwiddie is odd man out idk.

But I'm for all the 3pt shooters we can pick up for cheap. Especially if it keeps our space for next season.

dinwiddie has flat out looked better than grant in SL

hes longer and more explosive than I was imagining he would be
