Why y'all acting like they signed Wade to a 5 year deal?
People love to complain that's why. Its probably for one year and 2 max but some just love having something to complain about. We got months before the season starts so we want know shyt until then to be honest

The 2/3 is interchangeable, jimmy could play the 2, won't matter he was going to be defending the tougher wing regardless.

Starting niko solves a ton in spacing, not to mention the minutes rondo/wade play with the bench.

The threat with the line up really gets shown in the playoffs. We have a solid top 8 to compete with.

Would still like to add some pieces but hopefully Rondo helps guys like Niko, Doug get clean looks.

If Fred can actually hold dudes like Niko accountable and not have him out there shooting 40 fts threes we can actually look like an offense
I dont know I'm good what where we at. Don't want to add anymore salary that cuts into us having a max slot next season.

Plus honestly our bench is pretty solid. Mcdermott, grant, Dinwiddle, valentine, taj or niko, felicio, portis, :snoop: snell , I really wish we wouldn't have sent holiday off

I feel like the offense will naturally cater to guys like Doug, Niko, and Valentine. The shooters basically. I'm assuming Doug's game evolves now with Wade mentoring him and Rondo will definitely be looking his way to stat pad. Same with Niko.

But the player who will benefit the most is Valentine. He now has the best passer (padder) in the game along with a top 5 SG to mentor him all season. Plus, I doubt Wade stays healthy so he might even get a chance to start at some point.

Best case scenario, I can see this squad tearing shyt up once they get the chemistry going. Of course, the elite teams will simply not guard the perimeter, and expose our offense. But the bottom feeders and middling teams could get ran off the court.

Worst case, they lose a bunch of games to start the year and don't mesh whatsoever. Which will lead to players openly criticizing Hoiberg and a quarrelsome locker room. But hey, tanking is always an effective plan B.

2 great stop gaps, if it works we have wade and jimmy , wade with great relationships with some of the best in the league, jimmy building great relationships with team USA players, we will be major players in a great free agency class next off season. We can hit rondo with :camby: and sit down with cp3 and blake, have space , guys already here and young players to surround them with.

:banderas: future looking bright again!!

My prediction on how the lineups will look:

Starters:
Rondo
Wade
Jimmy
Niko
Lopez

Fred will likely sub Wade out for Doug first which will slide Jimmy back to the 2.

Then Rondo and Lopez sub out for Grant and Felicio giving you:
Grant
Jimmy
Doug
Niko
Felicio

To close the 1st/3rd quarters.

2nd quarter he'll probably go with:
Rondo
Valentine
Doug
Portis
Felicio

Then stagger the lineups to close the 2nd/4th quarters experimenting with Valentine at point with Jimmy and Wade, Or possibly Wade at point with Jimmy and Valentine, etc. That's another benefit to having so many ball handlers, you don't really need a traditional PG.

In any case, I can see Rondo starting but not finishing games, which will of course be contingent on how well Valentine and Grant play.

I'd like to see the Bulls closing lineup look something like this:
Valentine
Wade
Jimmy
Portis
Lopez

Pretty good offensive/defensive balance, spacing, size, and all three wings can run point.

This is what is this is all about

We can go right after blake and cp3/westbrook with jimmy and wade as the recruiters.

Also, oddly enough, we still have a rmle to spend. Although it's not much more out here and I really don't want to add anymore salary which cuts into our space next season

I'm a bit torn on CP3. He'd be a better fit than Westbrook but he'll also be 32. Leaving the Bulls with a 35 year old Wade and Paul who will be exiting his prime.

I suppose if he wants to come here you do everything in your power to get him but it would be nice to have guys in their prime who can run with Jimmy for the next 3-5 years. Just saying.

CP3
Wade
Jimmy
Blake
Lopez

That's a good lineup but there are still major spacing issues. Wade would ultimately have to be replaced with a shooter.

CP3 would probably be the more attainable pg, and he would likely work better with wade/jimmy/blake. I would much rather want westbrook but cp3 and wade are like fam, that counts a lot in recruiting.

Only thing about that, is I've heard some rumors of blake and cp3 not really messing with each other like that, and may want to get away from each other.

8 seed here we come.:scust: goodbye lottery pick :martin::mjcry:
When we didn't trade jimmy the tanking plan went :camby:

Even without these moves, we were not going to be bad enough to get a top 3 pick. Jimmy is good enough for more than 15 wins.

So now we get a 9 - 14th pick? Who we picking up there that changes life for us?

The route we are going now, is the best route considering the circumstances. We have a competitive team who ceiling is likely 2nd rd, but good pieces to go recruiting next off season. In 2017 we could add blake, cp3, westbrook, and be elite right there with warriors and cleveland. That plan sounds a lot better than being horrible for the next 4 seasons until we finally get a top 3 pick , wasting jimmy and our time, might as well trade him, dealing with seasons of 60 loses, and at best we might draft the equivalent of a Andrew wiggins, and 5 years from now, still only be good enough to fight for a 8th seed, needing to add a ton more to the roster.

Let's just play this season, get our little 2nd rd exit and go hard next off season.

What a time to be alive :blessed:
