So if the Bulls draft one of these wings with a top 3-5 pick they're bringing them of the bench?
Bulls gonna sign Nikola Vucevic in the summer, once RoLo gone...
I'm not a fan of that Otto contract but, this aint as bad as people making it seem. I personally think both teams won the trade. Wizards unloaded Porter's contract and got two young players back in return. Bulls somewhat found a quick fix to their small forward problem. Otto is functional enough to where he can give the Bulls some good starter minutes and help improve their defense.
i didnt really get the sense that anyone felt the deal was bad. porter is a upgrade, regardless of the money.
i think the most criticism, is the direction. nobody knows what these guys are doing. but the trade, i get it. we are back to trying to be competitive. i just didnt think they were ready to try to be competitive right now.
Talk to these nikkas manPorter 25 a career 40% 3 point shooter, an elite role player who was top 5 in rpm for his position the last 2 seasons and can defend
got 2 years left on his contract while carter, hutch, markannen and '19 pick will all still be on their rookie contracts.Which is why his salary don't really matter
My only complaint is the '19 draft has several wings and the bulls need a legit starting pg who can run an above average nba offense more than porter
Bulls fans just wired to bytch about everything
Why would you trade for Porter when you should be gunning for Zion/RJ

it doesnt mess with their direction, i was speaking in the sense of i thought we were supposed to be terrible for a bit longer, bringing in porter is basically saying, no more building through the draft past this year. which im cool with.Huh? How does this mess with their direction? Otto Porter is still young and the Bulls need wing depth in the worst way especially with Hutch being injured.
That's what my thinking is as well.My guess is that they're being realistic and targeting Morant in the draft since the likely hood of them getting Zion is kinda low.

Honestly, we haven't had 2 legit staring wings for a while now.
What if they do get Zion tho... I'm not sure I want to give up on Lauri if that does happen.
I wouldn't want to give up on Lauri either but if it came down choosing between the two obviously you'd go with Zion. Realistically I think they try to move Porter if they end up drafting a wing.
