Thibs was looking at rubio being his avatar and rubio played up that entire season.
like, rubio was going against another big East draftee named Johnny flynn. That he put Dunn out into trade bait land. Imo, dunn is a ramp up player given how he materialized in college.

Rubio just played up on a level rubio never performed at before.
So it just made Dunn look extra dispensable.

Niko Mirotic looking like 1st Round Pick Trade bait since he's back
Lopez can be flipped for a pick also... he's on a great deal, and he can help a team out that's trying to make a push

They have the lowest payroll in the NBA this season, and its getting cut in half next year
