I think the lack of assertiveness is because he doesn't trust his jumper, when the game gets close the paint gets more cramped. In the pro game he'll have more room to operate, and I imagine a team may try to play him at PF.

He got Wiggins / McLemore (remember he was the projected #1 pick for most of thee season???) syndrome. That's why I wouldnt trust this guy as my #1 man. He's a 3rd option, 17-18ppg.
You cannot learn how to create space off the dribble in the NBA... especially if you couldn't do that in HS or coli. When's the last time somebody managed to do that?

He can create space off the dribble, it's the fact he can't shoot the jumper that's stopping him.
Learning to shoot is something he can do, and that would open up the rest of his game.
