The Kings bent over. I would have made him play out the season still. Then match whatever he gets as a restricted free agent. But Siakim already set the precedent that u only need one good season to secure a bag.

Then you risk him balling out even more and the kings get baited into matching some outlandish offer. We see this time and time again from Lavine to Parsons(LaVine wasn’t that bad in hindsight)FA market isn’t strong next year either.

Does anyone think that he can become the true superstar that Sacramento needs? I’m wary on Bagley unless he can improve on his defensive limitations and I’m not sure that Fox as your best player can lead you to a title.

Also, I wonder if we will see more players and soon to be free agents sign max deals with their teams now instead of chancing it after the China debacle. No one truly knows the salary cap implications from the situation, so some might want to seriously consider getting their money now. It could take years for the salary cap to make up the amount of money lost.

Anyone who actually watched him in college knew that narrative was bullsh*t. He didn't get a fair shot in New Orleans.

New Orleans panicked and mortgaged the future out of fear of losing Davis (rightfully so) instead of actually drafting and developing players in-house.

The majority of people commenting don't watch Kings games. Just go back and look at the threads from last week about him wanting his deal and he'd be ready to find a new home if he doesn't get it.

Going to Sacramento was the best thing for his career as well. He's improved every year and while he may be 27, his game isn't reliant upon athleticism. Barring injury, he'll age well. I'm excited to see what Fox and Hield do this season.

I know, I watch a lot of Kings games (one of the few teams that's still on when I get home from work).
