Florida dont care about there pro teams maybe the heat

Miami has the most fickle fans in the entire state. The Heat's regular season games were half empty this season. Their entire fan base are bandwagon fans. Before '06, there was no such thing as a Heat fan.

The Orlando Magic, Tampa Bay Rays (they play in the shyttiest stadium in all of sports, so their attendance is lower than it should be) and Buccaneers probably have the most loyal fan bases. I'm not near Tampa anymore, but I don't blame the fans for not showing up. The team last year quit trying. Before that, they got rid of all of the fan favorites. The Glazers didn't invest any money in the team since the Super Bowl in '03 until this past offseason. One offseason isn't going to bring everyone back.

During the Dungy years, you couldn't buy a ticket at the New Sombrero! That shyt was crazy sold out and the fanbase there was hardcore dedicated.

These fukkin owners are pricing their own fanbase out of the stadium. :snoop:

Why is this a surprise? I can't remember the last time the Bucs sold out. shyt the Rays don't even sell out playoff games.

I think the reason is there are a lot of transplants down here so there's no loyalty to these teams. Ironically, I always liked the Bucs since Dungy took over. I've been to a few games but that's only when my homeboy is in town, he's a Bucs fan who lives in DC.

Bottom line is, if your team plays in FL and isn't great, they're not gonna get love because there's too many transplants and too much other shyt to do. Why watch the shytty Bucs when Disney is right up the interstate?

In Tampa a lot of transplant are old people and you know they're not going sit outside in 90 degree heat for 3-4 hours.

As one of this game, its two garbage teams playing. I wouldn't watch that shyt either. :pachaha:

The nfl wants a franchise in l.a. but honestly l.a. dont support nobody consistently but the lakers. Thats why they lost the rams and raiders to begin with. That and that shytty oversized stadium is holding them back.
everything sells out or hits close to capacity out here in LA.. Dodgers, Lakers, Clippers(even in the shytty years), Angels, Galaxy, Kings, Ducks, USC, UCLA, etc.

-the Raiders and Rams left because of stadium issues not from the lack of fan support

but like the article says, they are potentially losing customers, I mean fans, by not lifting the blackout rule in a time of economic distress in many parts of the country. If they had any sense, they'd have lifted the blackout rules last season in gesture of goodwill.

the blackout rule would be pointless then. The NFL just cannot stomach an empty arena. It looks horrible on TV.

Even the Jets with Tim fukking Tebow had the threat of being blacked out for week 1 in NYC. It'll never happen because Woody Johnson will just buy all the tickets to spare himself the embarrassment, but that stadium won't even be sold out. The NFL's in a tough spot. Everyone loves football, but less people wanna go out to see it than ever before.

that has more to do with the stadium and the inconvenience it is to get there.

thats BS

if ur team is almost in the World Series, u have NO excuse not to sell out.

smh @ "fans" who wont even drive a hour to go see their team in the playoffs
