First, hate to see to Dame go out like that. I knew it when I saw it, but it's still unfortunate to have that confirmed. He's a good dude and definitely has tried hard here under some crazy circumstances.

There's no real Bucks fan - or even most Milwaukeeans in general - who wants Giannis to go out like this. I'd be a little surprised if Giannis wanted to go himself. He grew up here. He's built and bought into the city (literally.) He's our greatest player and did exactly what he's supposed to: lead us to a championship. I honestly never thought I'd see that happen and be in person for the Finals.

Jon Horst (and the ownership) have done some good, interesting and flat out bad things. But I think the choice is pretty stark and there probably won't be any miracles on this one. Either Giannis stays and the team gets left behind over time. Or he goes while he's still relatively young and great, and the franchise resets. The standard and expectations are different now; this isn't the Herb Kohl era. Whether he's here or elsewhere, Giannis is owed the best situation possible. In a perfect world, he'd retire here. But that ain't the world we live in. :manny:

I honestly don't know where the Bucks go from here. Giannis has been adamant in the past on how he only wants to play for one team in his career, but will he change course on that now? It's a bit of a give and take because while the Bucks have done a lot to appease him/make him want to stay, they're capped out with no draft capital and their 2nd best player who is currently 34 years old will miss all of next season. I hate this for Dame too, cause he originally wanted Miami but he probably felt he could make it work but the shyt crashed and burned.

He's guaranteed outta there by first day of free agency

Indy/Hou/OKC

He gotta pick one

I think Giannis only got 3 options.

- Stay in Milwaukee and basically be their Dirk.
- Force a trade to OKC.
- Force a trade to Houston.

Any other situation you're going to have to sacrifice too much to acquire Giannis. OKC and Houston have enough young players and picks to spare that it doesn't completely ruin their roster to bring on Giannis.

Are players too fast, strong, and big now which leads to these injuries increasing?

Too much tear and load through workouts in their youth?

Damn it seems like every scientific thing is advancing except pro athlete injuries

if youre the bucks and you want to retool around giannis theres not much you can do this offseason. so you have to hope hes patient enough to wait until the 26 offseason when they may have a bit of cap relief. thats when potentially other than giannis the only big contracts you have on the books are dame's player option and kuzma's 20 mil expiring. giannis would be about to turn 32 the start of the 26-27 season, he still should enough great years left at that point where i'd rather go that route than trade him now and do a complete rebuild.

That's all irrelevant. He's not leaving the US.

Who's the better player/more appealing trade asset between Chet and JDubb?

Or is that TBD in these playoffs :lupe:

definitely thunder(depending how these playoffs go) or rockets for Giannis imo

Bucks gotta trade him , lillard will be 36 coming off an achilles injury with one year left on his contract that will be like 58 mil they can’t improve. Bucks gotta recoup they have nothin , thunder & rockets have the assets to make it happen
