but this is because zillow and other similar companies are buying up made houses and raising the prices causing this shortage also more air bnbs and short term places are popping up too

Nope, I'd never buy a house here with these ridiculous prices. Homes that I remember selling for 300K are now over a million :dahell:

I love Seattle but can't do it :hubie:

Yeah I love the place but I decided a while ago that if I stay here I’m gonna be renting until I die :hubie:

If I want my own house that badly I’ll move to Colorado or some shyt highkey

Started getting random calls and text asking about selling my house. I hit them with ridiculous numbers

"Not accepting anything thing less than 3.5 million plus closing cost and moving expenses!"

Zillow has it estimated around $320k

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.

don’t be mad at him. He’s displaying what a true American is. Compassion when he’s a renter or a worker. Greedy scum when he’s an home owner or business owner. Truth is many people desire to be like that poster deep down inside. If people really cared then landlords and billionaires would be at each others throats instead of playin golf together every weekend.

I'm likely leaving my job because my bonus wasn't big enough to keep up with the housing market and I'm trying to buy

And I'm not here to brag but it was a considerable bonus. Just not enough to make a dent toward a down payment.

That's how crazy shyt is out here.

back to michigan? :lupe:

It doesn't mean anything.. listings are underpriced to incite a bidding war. Happens all the time in a hot market. They could have priced it $1 and still got 2.4 million.

Some clown on the coli said "Why does everyone have to own anyway?"

Seattle residents seem to understand the importance of ownership.

It’s not a clown question when there are many others ways to build wealth in this country. And that’s capitalism folks. Some people are going to go that route and explore the opportunities and buy a home later on and the nay sayers are going to sit on the coli complaining every week

Similar to the guy who understands it’s 2022 and he learns useful tech skills to boost his salary vs the other guy who 30 years old and would rather just sit on Facebook everyday begging for Biden to pay Him 60K a year for working at Rasing Canes

These home prices have surged across the country. Black people really should've come up with a plan decades ago to secure ownership. Now we have to pay way overpriced rent just to live in a place that isn't middle America or the desert. Ownership secures your ability to pay a fair price to live somewhere. Renting is throwing money away, especially today. Every year, people are getting hit with rent hikes and getting moved around. Homeowners' expenses are relatively stable and in line with inflation.

Is it?

1.) the average landlord doesn’t make 6 figures and is a mom and pop landlord

2.) The average middle class homeowner is riddled in debt and one check away from foreclosure

3.) average American doesn’t even have $1,000 in savings.

Can’t call renting throwing money away when these facts exist.

Housing prices have outpaced inflation by a large margin, and inflation has outpaced wages. Ownership saves money in the long run, and ensures that you can stay in your neighborhood affordably, whether you have competitive job skills or not.

The only plan you need in a capitalism society is access to capital.
