His music is too..dull. He doesn't take risks...and he just tries to recreate the music that he is a fan of instead of trying to experiment or push new boundaries..

The comparisons to Mike and Prince need to end..especially Prince just because they both multi instrumentalist.

Prince had the whole gender bender shyt..the mysterious image....plus his drum machine programming with the linn was groundbreaking, being a big factor in the Minneaplos FUNK sound....and several other things.

Like his songs feel the same ..you know he gonna throw in some cheesy ass line

"Pretty girls around n they waking up the dragon"

shyt like that..

He goes for the Mike formula of waiting years in between releases to write songs that appeal to most and are catchy...But Mike did it better and exposed himself(Heartbreak Hotel for example...Wanna be Startin was about his brother's wives..).his lyrical content was far superior...

Sure, but when the mainstream is so devoid of talent, he at least brings a little bit of that old feeling back.

At worst he's no Prince or Mike, shyt not even Charlie Wilson or Alexander O'Neal, but at the very least he's better than 98% of the shyt out now...he's sitting on the competition.

Yea he's good for a well produced song that is catchy and will be played on radio and shyt for a year but that's it...he's like karaoke.

You know you ain't gonna get no deep shyt from him like Confessions or social commentary from him or anything like that.

Exactly op

Thats why despite his talent, he doesnt fet any real hype even from people who like him. He doesnt even have stans.

He doesn't have his own sound, he doesnt bring anything to the game. He just a try hard that makes songs that are designed for old people to go "wow, that guy is really talented". He doesn't do anything creative. Even his music videos are just tributes to old shyt. At least the Weeknd has his own sound. Chris Breezy has his own sound. Usher at least perfected the RnB formula, even if he didn't revolutionize anything.

Finesse? I'd rather listen to Poison by Bell Biv DeVoe. :stopitslime:

Treasure? I'd rather listen to any late 70s early 80s song by MJ or Earth Wind and Fire. :stopitslime:

I wish he did more shyt like Locked Outta Heaven.

He's a glorified karaoke singer :manny:

And that’s a good thing. Nobody wants social commentary from Bruno Mars. Hell I don’t really want them from any celebrity. That’s one of Americas problems past and present
