I read that..Billy Gunn just wasn't good enough to cut it against a MASTER on the mic who was nearly worshipped at the time. He didn't belong that high up the card...that was the proof.
Billy got the same treatment everyone else got from The Rock, the good ones rise to the occasion while the bad ones crumble.

I mean his perspective is understandable

didn't even say the segment was bad just that it was too long and fukked up his night at his job

Conrad mentioned on the podcast he thought the segment wasn't very good going back and watching it today. It's true. At the time, it was entertaining but it did not age very well.

This.

I can understand his gripe, but I’m 100% sure Vince has zero programs with it based on the reaction and ratings, and if Vince has no problem, neither did Pritchard.

I'm sure after the fact that was the case, especially with the rating it got, but in the heat of the moment, I could see why people would be pissed off.

Nah it's still a classic, I'm not going to be one of those people that tries to retrospect everything. If it were anybody else it would've bombed, but with Rock's charisma and Foley's good natured attitude it worked out great.

I understand your perspective, but to be honest, a lot of the Attitude era stuff is not rewatchable to me. I enjoyed it when it happened, but I cringe watching it back.

I never said they didn't cringe shyt, but the this is your life segment isn't one of them imo. The better example would be when Taker tried sacrificing Stone Cold on the operating table, now that was some shyt you had to be high or young to find entertaining.:mjlol:

I have not gone back to his podcast for like a couple of years now ever since I heard an episode about the Invasion and how he tried to justify not bringing Goldberg at the start cause he "wasnt a draw' or some bullshyt

I've wondered about that in retrospect but did a few binge watches of some PPVs from the later part of the era (late 99- early 01) this week and that coupled with 97 was pretty piff. It was crazy how engaged the crowds were with a lot of matches helped

Its really peak Russo thats aged like milk. The Gerwitz era was dope even though yeah its got some crass shyt too

the most overrated era to me. People remember all the stuff at the top, but there's so much stuff underneath that is unwatchable.

Most new age idiots try to hate on everything from the 90s..if that didn't see well, then Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels have no credible promos in their prime at all. The Jericho debut didn't age well. The DiBiase Survivor Series promo didn't age well. Dusty Rhodes promos did age well either since ko one talks about at all except marks who bring up the NWA every 10 years by accident.

Well everything in the Ruthless Aggression era was pure garbage except for Eddie and Team Angle. Nobody demanded a Brock Lesnar push..shyt came from nowhere. RVD was ultra over and treated like shyt..they DEFECATED over the Kane character...Gene Snitsky? Lol..Mordecai? Lol. Cripple H was horrible every week...Evolution was terrible... Cena bombed and couldn't wrestle...Jazz got damn near no credit..Angle was overrated to no fukking end with his Chris Benoit copy fest. Gail Kim bombed. Molly Holly was treated like a joke. Shanquia? Lol. JBL? fukk outta here. Hardcore Holly got a ppv title shot? Lmao. Nobody talks about that bullshyt.

The Attitude Era has legendary tag team feuds and matches..great IC feuds...two legendary maineventers who are like the living embodiment of if Tupac and Biggie were still alive. No comparision.

Bruh the segment went 14 minutes over its scheduled time which is a lot of fukking time and Bruce is part of the crew who has to clean up the mess which effects probably hundreds of people at that show. Are y’all that fukking dense or just marks
fukk Bruce...WCW whooped their ass with Bruce pre Rock And Foley on top. So Bruce and his worries and wants have no meaning or basis to what counts. He's a complete nobody. Guy is in his 50s crying about 1999.
