How would he merk him? He was actually there while Dave getting second account stories . That's why he's mad .
That also gives him a bias. He's protective of Vince and the company he worked for so his "first hand account" can't always be trusted. He spins shyt to make the WWE sound better all the time on his show, like how he defends the BS attendance figures
Dave has no expressed interest in WWE looking bad. WWE doing well means he does well.

A lot of industry guys hate guys like Meltzer because he just gives facts. He doesn't sugar coat anything. He doesn't play favorites. They're also mad that he's made more money reporting on their business than they have being in it.

Meltzer knows the people in those rooms and talked to them. They're trying to cover their asses and make themselves look good.
First hand accounts are overrated when the person giving them has something to gain or lose from how they present the story.
He gives WHAT HE WAS TOLD is the fact by someone else

Let me ask you, what's more reliable to you, a story told by someone there but has something to lose or gain by how they tell the story, or a story told by an impartial third party, who wasn't there, but got stories from multiple people who were there?
To me, it's the latter easily, unless I know the former to be always 100% honest and I don't think anyone who worked for a wrestling company is ever gonna be fully honest. That's just me though.

The person that was there especially if the person had a high position . We have no concrete idea who meltzers sources and if they are able to get reliable info . He's wrong a lot .
