The Von Erich story always interested me

Heres a good ass documentary you need to check out too about the Von Erichs and WCCW

Started watching it last night - really interesting.

The Lapsed Fan Christmas Special this year is a reading of Home Alone with Lapsed Stone Cold as Kevin McAllister and Patterson and Vince as The Wet Bandits. :deadrose:

Conrad seems to either a) be bugging out over bisch and bruces retelling seminal moments that meltzer would blame on hogan or nash or hhh... or b) he doing so cause of thise same smarks that for 25 years been polluting the internet

Idk which it is but the way conrad bugged on bischoff for them pulling the plug on sting and then trying to put it on hogan. I felt like it was 2002 and the sheets eere in full “hogan the uktimate political wrestler mode”...

Sting looked like shyt. Wrestler bad. Why would hulk fukk the count up. Makes no sense. But ya know meltz : “OBVIOUSLY... hulk took patrick aside and ruined it for everyone”
Sting wore a singlet and had his face painted, nobody was able to tell any difference. If they thought he looked bad, they shouldn't have had him win in the 1st place.
As for Hulk fukking up the count, people view wrestling with today's eyes -- where wins and losses don't matter and everyone is bffs. That wasn't the case back then. Even on the other side, Shawn would refuse to drop the tile and just a month prior Bret Hart was shoot-screwed out of a title because he didn't want to drop it to a guy. Hogan didn't even wrestle for a large part of 1997-- he was coming out to cut promos for a majority of the year. This is fine, as he was still a draw, but you saw the diminishing returns once 1998 hit.

It was a dumb idea in the end your right but i get it. Dude had a jacket on all year and then he takes it off they see arms smaller than bret harts, i get why they changed it whether it was right or not. Hulk is incredibly insecure guy per warrior nash hall flair and mach shoots. They tried to spice up a match that had a withdrawn sting outta shape/character, with a old washed hulk and emerging bret on the scene. I just dont get why conrad still plays meltzer-cultist when he been talking to bisch and bruce for years now and they weekly tell him meltzer didnt know what the fukk he was talking about.

At this point, it didn't matter how he looked. People wanted to see Hogan lose to Sting. You can't hype up a storyline for a whole year then p*ssy out at last second because "h-his arms aren't big". It's not like Hogan wasn't skinny from 94-98, too.
As for the Meltzer point, there is no show if Conrad didn't have those observers. Anytime he had to do his own research through shoots and stuff, it's usually even worse.

That was the ending to a year and a half storyline. It only could go one way and they fukked that up.

What Happened When latest ep covered one of WCW’s last ppv’s “WCW: Sin”. Oooo wee how WCW go from the white hot NWO storyline to THIS. It’s sad how WCW went out. Tony called WCW “The coffin on wheels.”

I had no idea that they toyed with the idea of Vitor Belfort coming into the WWF in the late 90's. That would've been interesting. Bruce said he saw Vitor as a future WWF champion, but I don't know if that would've been the right time for him. He'd be a star today though.
