It was a bunch of bad gimmicks and an outdated wrestling style. While Japan and ecw were moving the culture forward wwe was trying to keep the 80’s alive. I now see why hogan and them jumped ship wcw was atleast trying new stuff

That down period from 93 to at least Mid 96 helped get rid of the Weak Links for the guys like Austin,Rock(soon),HHH(soon) as well as Shawn,Bret(and The Foundation)and Take to get the WWF over WCW in that War and really Break Through from that Cartoon 80s Style

Yeah, I guess in some ways, it had to get worse so it could get better. But man did that shyt get bad. I can't even call it '80s style, that shyt was like all the bad ideas that didn't cut it in the 80s, so he decided to try 'em in the 90s. A gimmick like Mr. Perfect makes sense, Million Dollar Man makes sense, even Warrior makes sense... but they had a damn trash man, a plumber, a dentist, just all types of dumb stuff. :hhh: Worst era for WWE ever, IDGAF what people say about it now. If you lived thru 1995, you'll be OK in 2018.

The difference is, 95 eventually ended, in the Grand scheme of things, it was a blip on the radar. To me the current product has been trash for nearly ten years now, outside of a few brighter spots. That 93-95 run eventually ended, this current run if trash has been going on for ten years now

His Podcast will never be the same again. Already see a difference from his previous episodes tohis current.

From what I just read, someone said that he talked shyt about HBK calling people monkeys in the crowd and trying to have them thrown out...you think someone on the payroll for WWE is going to talk like that?

Dude worked there for like 30 years, he's always going to defend the bullshyt because HE HELPED CREATE IT. Sometimes he will admit to a fukk up but it ain't gonna be often. It's human nature but I don't see him selling out to then, he's happy to be home and if you haven't realized he's help promoting their product by talking about the ppvs and getting people to watch the shows on the Network so why not help him?

Nah, he defended HBK calling people monkeys and when Conrad brought up the banana promo with HBK two weeks later - amiss the NOD racist stuff - he caped for it and didn't see it as such. The non-character pods already lost their luster for me. Give me pods on the people, the storylines and how they were viewed up until the end. The Vader show, the Goldust show, The Doink show - all good ones to me because they give you the thinking and the expectation behind a creation/character. This 1998 RR pod was trash, tbh.

:bookhaha::bookhaha::bookhaha:

Gawdamn That Michael Hayes impression is the funniest shyt ever brehs.

"HEY! I GOT A IDEAL"

"HE'S A WORKIN DOG"

"I'LL TELL YOU WHAT I DO FOR THIS COMPANY! I MAKE THIS COMPANY MONEY"
:dead::dead:

I swear to this day that was hands down the funniest shyt I heard on this podcast. The thought of Michael Hayes redneck ass pitching a dog that only does dog spots in the ring to Vince omfg :deadrose::dead::laff::laff::mjlol::mjlol::russ:

Then the Bob Holly shyt :deadrose::dead::dead:

You are terribly MIS remembering the 90’s I quit watching wrestling as a whole until the nwo popped up that’s how unwatchable it was. Bad gimmicks terrible to average workers fukk it y’all can clown me all you want but to keep it all the way 100 Bret Hart was boring as shyt before the Austin feud. Before he created the hart foundation he was just a generic good guy with a cool finisher. And he and Shawn and maybe taker were the best things and only watchable things going on from 92-97. But you think now is equal or worse? Like I always say if you don’t like the current product so much than quit watching and talking about it cause this is the most I ever talked about the “ new generation “. Whatever I’m off this subject

92 was still good, it was the last year of the golden era and 97 is often argued as one of the best years in the company's history. And 96 was up and down, definitely a transition from the trash that was from 93-95. But you're missing my point, yes 93-95 was trash but that trash eventually ended. This current run of boring uninspired booking has been going on for nearly 10 years now with no end in sight. Booking where it's obvious they only care about a couple of guys, boring personalities, potentially good storylines booked like crap, predictable finishes, this has been going on for ten years now, that's the problem
