I disagree. to me he shows how much he cherishes not only "the belt" but wrestling and the "universe" in general by the way he continues to grind in this business. this isn't the 80s or 90s of every night arenas, but for the face of the company, cena has probably done more to carry the brand than any other champ. just because that dude likes to smile and is more "kid friendly" than others before him, doesn't discredit his passion. it makes him his own man.
Cena hasn't done half of what Austin and Hogan did to get here. He is where is in general because Lesnar quit at 27 and a never ending push. They chose to act like he was special when Booker T was hot and didn't have mixed reactions. RVD was NEXT LEVEL hot in 2001 and they regulated him to IC status when he went over Taker/Angle/Edge/Austin/Rock/Jericho in a 2 month span. Cena is a political pushed success. Because they chose to give him this spot, the push, the endless marketing. He didn't EARN it. He got it off of others being too big for the E and them also choosing to neglect other fan pushed guys. That's why he's an abomination and why he'll get booed at every WM and Summerslam for the rest of his career.
Since the day I first came here, there hasn't been one poster, one analyst. ..no one that can explain why Cena is so lazy and pushed so hard. Why he buries guys and no sells left and right? People avoid those topics and continue to run from them..they would rather rep River for another cute smilie instead of making some goddamn sense for once.

He has no passion or credibility. Being "kid-friendly" (pandering to lowest common denominator) is not the same thing as putting yourself over the belts. He has no passion for the "sport" aspect of pro wrestling, for the history or even just an interest in putting on an entertaining product. His only passion is putting himself over and making money. Cant hate on that but the result is that the product suffers and the show sucks. He's the wrestling equivalent of Puff's line "dont worry if I write rhymes, I write checks."
"Dont overanalyze it" is like the battle cry of every defender of shytty entertainment in every medium, whether its Michael Bay movies, shytty throwaway hip hop or the current state of the WWE. The funny thing is that theres nothing to even analyze. Dude just isnt entertaining.
