You named them hustlers, killers, fiends, ex-cons
I called them cousins, aunts, pops, moms
To you? Hoodlums, crackheads, gunmens
To me? Just neighbors, classmates, young friends

Was hardened at a tender age
Learned every trick, every trade
Shoulda been looking at the books
Instead of mastering the cooking and the jooks
With all I’ve grown to see
With no help with wealth, what else I was gon' be?
I know them deeds in my head is foul
But when that belly growl its yelling now
...its yelling “now”

Best goons in the next room
Sun down in gun town, catch wreck soon
Stale living got me risking a fresh tomb
Rose out the ghetto to peddle, let’s bloom
Won't be surprised if guys ran up shoot me
Stunnin work, from the dirt, can't uproot me
The truth, I never tire of tellin it
Under this roof, not a desired dwellin
Strips hard after discharge flying shellings
Another petty fight, every night is yelling
Childhood memories of wild hood felonies
Quick sug’ if you get good sellin these
I supine true rhyme, you prone for fakin
No pork, afford to walk home to bacon
Speak for streets but hearts are aching
Where they stop asking and start taking
When that belly growl, it’s yellin “now”*

Breathe heated moments frozen in poem
No need for team, I goes it alone
If you came to frame me I pose with the chrome
Coke that is broken, it's the woes of my home
Known to stem then from when we had shackles
Never planned to be a family tree of bad apples
Befuddled, how come my struggle extended hard?
Is it payback from way back, offendin god?
True fact occurred to me: life's harsh
It’s too black and dirty to whitewash
To be a model citizen take a lot of groomin
In the hallways there’s always a body loomin
Blessed cops ain't killed me young
Reppin' blocks not knowin' where we really from
For that savin gravy we holdin biscuits
Thought drug traffick was our road to riches
Not just wordplay, serious sentences
Laid back style, still hearing the emphasis
Do notes, never netted by blue coats
My anatomy is live reality, I don’t do hoax
No petty minds, it's heavy lines, a few quotes
We’ll see who drinks, who sinks, who floats

[Verse 2: Ka]
This boy wasn't spoiled but still rolled with a spade on me
The truth is I had juice 'cause I always kept a pair on me
And our fields was no meals, just forks in the road
Kept it coveted for the public with beloved I'm talking in code
Was unfortunate souls, in the hood where good are offed in the road
Mindless discipline made for thicker skin I forged at the toe
For the filth that grew me built immunity to deadly venom
Some might not know the right rites of passage if I never pen 'em
Seems the team had good genes, but wanted better denim
Tools that you walk with make a movie a short clip if never extend 'em
A child made for feral blend ready to wild 'till the world end
For my supplements stood up against anything the world sends
For years lost still we was fortunate 'fore I had a girlfriend
But thorough ladies made thorough babies, thorough men
Wasn't from an esteemed hood so being good tough for me
Make for bad recipes when necessity is luxury
Covered the bond I went above and beyond if I had trust in me
Was told as youth become a mute, if ever in custody (Say nothin')Once you get aggravated with all that fabricated, come fukk with me

Man that part right there always makes me stop in my tracks. fukk his whole verse is almost biblical and brilliant. Ka's pen shouldn't belong to a human being. The shyt he writes is truly scares and amazes me.
