Hilarious to include “the ink of a scholar is holier than the blood of a martyr”, cause Ka’s playing both sides with how impeccable his writing is. Sorta comes full circle on this with the oxymoronic closer, having nothing gave him everything. A martyr’s reward is an intangible thing like hope or potential, nothing concrete. Compare that to nothing in the sense of lost innocence forcing you to grow up at an early age and the strength from that is value you can grasp right now. Dropping the pretense of mythologizing his story again, it feels a bit more personal.

Dope album. I’m going back and listening to his earlier shyt. I couldn’t get into it in 2012-2013, but I think Ka is finally clicking for me :wow:
