Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
Got a new owner, got to let him bring his people in and run things how he wants. :manny: Plus not drafting RG3 did buddy in.

Not drafting RG3 was not Heckert's fault...that was on Holmgren who didn't put together a better package to trade up to get him.

And that New ownership will turn over again in a few years. :snoop:

It's been an ongoing rebuild since 1999.

You honestly have to clean house with new ownership let them pick their guys and see how it goes. Shurmur was only hired due to his relationship with Mike Holmgren.

It's a shame how much teams passed over russel wilson, when people here are talking about rg3.

yea, it didnt even have to be the Richardson pick. if they take Wilson late 1st, coupled with a good RT in Schwartz and potential dynamic PR/slot WR in Benjamin it would have been considered a hell of a draft. Gordon in the supplemental was a steal, kid plays really physical and he can run. looks like a star

i still think you can win with Weeden, but im not sure if they give him enough time. im sure the new owner is putting alot of pressure on himself to make this his own but turnover every few years is detrimental

:laff:

Kirk Cousins is another. Who knows? The kid was pretty underwhelming at Michigan State but he seems decent as a backup and has more potential than Weeden.

They really screwed up in this draft.. Type of shh that can set a franchise back ten years.

he wasnt underwhelming, michigan state was a running team, look at andrew maxwell this year
kirk cousins 3,300 yards 25 tds and 10 ints in the big ten is impressive

weeden isnt really a bad pick considering hes working with just a decent offensive line, a rookie rb, and his top two receivers have two years of experience.

:usure:

We all can agree the Big Ten is trash. The loss against UGA and the year before against Alabama really hurt his perception. Two big games and two stinkers. :yeshrug:

I thought both picks were retarded then and now. Hell....I felt Lamar Miller was the better pro potential RB last draft class, even more so than Trent

Lamar Miller would've been a first rounder if he knew how to pass protect better. Apparently the dude was clueless on even simple blitz schemes

Just because a team is young doesn't means that's an indicator of future success. That's the oldest trick in the book for GMs. Say go young while knowing if you continue to lose 10 games every year, you get a pass based on the youth of the team.

But this ain't the NBA. It don't take years to turn around a team. Browns should have never drafted Richardson or Weeden. Moves like that set teams backs years if they try and build around them. Weeden will not be back. He's getting traded somewhere. Richardson will be back but I wouldn't be shocked to see the team draft a speed back later in the draft.
