This is how it is...Italian Americans are overly nice to others outside their immediate family and then they are tough on the sons or pick on people inside the immediate family...They care sooo much how they look to the outside..

Don't the paretns have to press charges.. What if they both live and they say its fine??? not that it would happen but just saying if they both live and say foorgeddabout it what happens legally?

Good question...the DA can still convene a grand jury on him without the parents I think. I remember watching a true similar situation on a forensic files/cold case type tv show where the son Chris Porco tried to kill both of his parents with an axe. His dad Peter Porco died but his mom survived the attack (although horribly disfigured losing an eye and part of her skull) and his mom did not press charges and refused to admit her son could have done it yet the son was still charged and convicted of being guilty and sent away to prison.
