There's plenty of old nikkaz sitting around complaining about our generation wearing sagging jeans. My mama, my grandmama, my daddy don't do nothing but complain about that shyt. Well, since you asked - our mothers and grandmothers didn't breastfeed in public because most of them weren't breastfeeding at all. First, homemade concoctions of animal milk and various ingredients and then powdered or canned formulas were sold as being more healthful than natural breast milk, more convenient for women who had to work out of the home (basically all working-class women since forever. the idea of women staying at home and doing no labor for pay was a post WWII anomaly), and just generally more 'modern'.

The ones who did continue to breast feed have struggled to do so in public for years, but continue to be punished by police and security guards imposing modesty by force. You should familiarize yourself with the work of the La Leche League, who have been struggling to normalize breast feeding since before you or I were born. It's not a new movement, at all.

I gives ZERO fukks about the heifers at La Leche. They have a political agenda to force their shyt on everybody else.
