It's almost like these white judges see their wife, daughter, sister, etc in these women, and believe they had a small lapse in judgement, and feel prison would make them worse. I wonder if that occurs in other cases, with other crimes, especially when the offender is white, and male. I wonder if they don't have the same empathy for black men, Hmmm

The X factor is the victim. How cooperative is he going to be to testify against her?
In court, unless they have explicit video & transcripts where she is unequivocally detailing what she did, what evidence can the prosecution bring to prove the case?
You can't bring newspaper headlines into court as evidence. My gut tells me that the Sex Crimes unit in the prosecution office had the victim in their office - or attempted to get him in - and his hesitation, awkwardness & overall unwillingness to cooperate probably made the potential criminal case against her very shaky.
It's a sad reality w/ respect to sex crimes victims. A person assaults a child & many variables - from unwilling guardians to psychological trauma - can affect the ability for the prosecution to present a strong enough case.
So... not only does the prosecution know that...but the defense attorney representing the defendant knows that.
If your the prosecutor, what do you do?
- Say fukk it and risk going to trial and having an acquittal and being forced to confront the victim's family and say, "Sorry, I tried but there was not much we could go on."
- Offer a justified plea deal which includes a lot of prison time, sex offender status & other shyt that the defense attorney is going to laugh in the phone and tell you, "Y'all nikkas trippin'" on some Westbrook shyt?
- Offer a lower offer that secures the sex offender status & other conditions that of course is hard to stomach but it's better that an acquittal?
14 year old has a 30 year old adult woman & authority figure using his body & indoctrinating to him that relations between30 & 14 year olds in 2016 is okay by taking advantage of his sexual development is lucky?
Brehs out here thinking a sexual relationship w/ an adult woman that parents entrusted their children with is worth the potential psychological trauma that leads to that, now 35 year old, 14 year old boy looking at young girls & boys as willing participants in this "normalized" sexual playing field.

Thank you for injecting some much needed common sense into this thread.
Anytime these threads pop up...I feel compelled to remove the fairytale before all of the "Damn, where were those teachers when I was a kid!" type responses.
shyt, I'm not really judging, I use to think like that too.
It's just, I've been sexually objectified by older women on some creep shyt my whole life. Fortunately, I wasn't abused, but, that shyt feels weird as fukk when you're 17 & some older woman approaches or hints to you on some creep shyt.

Sadly, we’ve allowed it to be a social norm based on how we view gender roles. Male sexual abuse is often treated flippantly or with complete disregard.
So many people are ignorant to the psychological damage that a sexual predator can have on a young person regardless of their gender. It’s grooming, manipulation and psychological trauma that can manifest itself in unhealthy ways.
Women get wat too many passes when it’s comes to being molesters. Just look at me too movement and the Juelzing they were doing when a woman was exposed for being a predator.

It's purposely overlooked. I have heard just as many stories of grown women sleeping with teenage boys (some even prepubescent
) from old heads and my peers as I have of men messing with girls. It even seems like other women don't take it as serious as men molesting girls.
