Whenever my life slows down due to whatever (unemployment, weather, vacation, injury etc), I try to get into music I might have not had the time or patience to before.

Over the last year, I got really into 1960s boogolo, which is a sort of salsa-soul hybrid what was created by Puerto Ricans and African-Americans in New York City. I also finally gave jazz a fair chance, really getting into Coltrane and trying to analyze what it was I was listening to.

So Cal
Yo fam, Idk what you're into, but Imma give you a little piece of my hip hop catalogue
So there's this dude from the 90s I just discovered named Nasir Jones :troll:, but seriously see below

Artist,
Projects/Album
Hip-Hop Sub Genre,
Brief Info,
Best Tracks IMO

Spillage Village
Bears Like This, Bears Like This Too, Bears Like This Too Much
Southern Lyricism/Bars, Weed/Pothead Rap
J.I.D, Earthgang, Bas and a couple other brehs make up this collective that occasionally drops fire, but short EPs
"Can't Call It" "Bears Like This" "Fryin'"

InI
Center Of Attention
NY Boom-Bap, 90s Hip-Hop
A Pete Rock formed rap group that features his brother Grap Luva that got their only album Center Attention shelved, and eventually released 8 years ago in a compilation. The whole album is produced by Pete Rock and he has a few features throughout
"Fakin' Jax" "Center Of Attention" "To Each His Own"

88-Keys
The Death Of Adam
Various Styles/Sounds do to variety in sampling/beats
Producer 88-Keys only solo effort with meh level bars from 88-Keys, but a funny/relatable album theme, and great features and beats. The forerunning/promo mixtape Adam's Case Files is pretty good as well.
"Stay Up! (Viagra)" "Close Call" "Nice Guys Finish Last"

Get well soon and feast my breh :salute:
