I'm qualified to speak on this as I'm British Jamaican. I have no problem if we (blacks in Britain) breed ourselves out. It's an individuals choice. So long as there's no coercion, I'm not bothered. Many peoples throughout time and across the world have been absorbed into another culture/people and it'll continue.

I just wish I could be alive 500 years from now to see phenotypically British men having with African surnames like:
Okoro, Okocha, Balogun, Lukaku, Mensah, Mputu, Wangui, Diouf, Boateng, Rusike, Dumile, Choupo-Motin etc. LOL

Same things for Africans in Europe, even though there is a lot more new blood coming through.

This is one of the reasons why I don't care about afro-Europeans anymore :manny: Not only do they have no sense of community, their end goal is to be European, culturally if not ethnically. They also want to rep Africa (sometimes) but look down on it and you wouldn't catch most of them dead on the continent.
I really respect (not ironic) that you're 100 with it. At the end of the day if it's a choice Wtf can I say? It's pointless to judge. Everybody will do them.

I don't know. All I know is that Black men date out way more than black women in the UK (Not to say that black women don't date out in large numbers as well).

Id find this very very hard to believe

From the UK Government...
Figure 1: Percentage of men and women living as a couple who were in inter-ethnic relationships
England and Wales, 2011

Figure 3: Percentage of people who are married and cohabiting who are in inter-ethnic relationships by ethnic group
England and Wales, 2011

I can respect that opinion. I find it interesting though that many of us (Blacks) seem ok with merging into someone else while they are deadset against merging into us. Do you really think African/Caribbean Whites or Asians are going to marry out into the middle/upper middle class Black populations and fade away? I am all for personal freedom and some other groups like Jews are now dealing with the same assimilation issue. No judgment, just an observation.

Also do you wonder if those future White looking people named Boateng are going to anglicize their names? :pachaha:

I partially agree. However we gotta look at the circumstances of each place where black people are at.
There is no unified Black British ethnic group per se. Just a bunch of Anglo-Caribbeans (Jamaicans, Bajans, Trinis, Antiguans etc) and former Brit African colonials (Nigerians, Ghanaians, Sierra Leoneans, Ugandans, Kenyans etc) living here in the UK. Many of us are to proud to mix with each other. In many cases African women would rather date a white guy than Anglo-Caribbean man.

I don't know. Time will tell.

That's fine.

More than likely. LOL

Also a black person dating a biracial is classed as interacial relationship

Where in usa that wouldnt, so defenitions distort figures

True, so no Scotland, NI, or islands. I stand corrected on the inter-ethnic thing though :jbhmm: thanks for informing me.

This link has the full report.

Black Caribbean have 43% interethnic relationships but 4% of those are Black African and about 3% are mixed Black, and 2% other Black so only about 35% non-Black. Likewise Black African have a 22% rate but 2% are other Blacks. Higher than US but not as exaggerated as you say :ehh: Only about 7% of mixed Caribbean and 11% of mixed African date Blacks though which is interesting. Lower than I would think.

I agree with the sentiments in this thread. I'm African from the UK too.

Unless you have a real ideological commitment to marrying a black woman it is almost impossible to avoid white women & I'm in London :mjlol:

White women are literally everywhere you go, I was at a African club on Saturday in Central and the majority of the women were white :russ:

I think we sometimes forget that blacks only make up 3% of the UK population, even if I did have a kid with a black woman it's very likely that kid will have kids with a white person.

The only way to avoid this is if you're in a close knit community like Asians (Indian, Pakistani) or Jews. I don't know any African parents that truly care that much if their child marries out.
