lsu and bama solely carrying the flag for the sec?
forgot about uf, uga, usc, a and m
honestly if you consider how close UF, UGA, LSU, and A&M were in taking bama's spot in the title game off record, you would realize how fukking legitimate the SEC was. Also a sizeable portion of the pac 12 big 10 acc or big 12 probably could not beat mississipi st or vanderbilt
i also think oregon and stanford and florida st would've been more competitive this year than notre dame (at least wouldn't have lost 42-14)
there's also a reason we dont even hear the WHAT IFs about Ohio St? everyone knew they couldn't hang with either team in this final, let alone a good portion of the top 10
ND plays a brutal schedule, but you would think they would at least try to schedule one SEC team one of these years (even tennessee, mississippi state, vanderbilt)
I actually think oregon and texas a and m (assuming both hold on to these quarterbacks for a few years) would fare really well in a playoff system. There would be times where SEC teams wouldn't see oregon in the first matchup, so they'd have to spend the month prepping for the first matchup and then only get 7 days to take on chip kelly's or kevin's offense. it's only problematic if there are multiple top 5 defenses in the playoffs
i do think 8 or 16 (like the FCS would be the best) selected by a human committee. actually you could go by top 8 bcs ranking since this year's would've selected all the best with the exception of A & M
but we're
to even have 4 at this point
