For the most part when Tom and Steven link up something good comes out of it. So definitely give it a shot. They shot it here in New York around Brooklyn and in Queens. "Bridge of Spies" is a way better title than "St. James Place" which was the original title. So it's a Cold War Cuban Missile Crisis Drama.

da god Spielberg back on his shyt, I can already tell from the trailer this is going to be a beautiful looking movie. I like the subject matter, the cast is great.. the writers are great, I can't help but think this will be one of the best of the year

I trust the talent involved, but this trailer did not wow me. I hope the movie isnt as dry (boring) as tinker tailor soldier spy.

It didn't wow me either. Like they were desperately trying to make it seem more suspenseful and interesting than it is but still failing.

And don't talk shyt about Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, that's probably one of the most accurate spy movies ever made, and it's awesome.

the opening outside the cafe was really dope.

but most of it bored the shyt out of me. maybe it's the source material from John le Carré.. i felt the same way about "a most wanted man"..i enjoyed it for the most part but it was dry as fukk..and i do not wish to revisit it

John Le Carré doesn't romanticize the spy life and the makers of both movies did right by not Hollywoodizing it. It's only dry if you're a fukking casual and not carry a real interest in that espionage lifestyle.
