OP you not gonna like this:

but me and my dudes took this beat and made a Gangsta Version on a mixtape back in the day.
The hook went like this hurr:

"Do it ever cross your mind, I got a 9? (millimeter, dat 9 millimetah!)
Did you ever think I could reach OUT for youuuuuu?
Did it ever cross your mind, I got a niiiiiiiiiine...
I'll get youuuuuuuuu"

Where do you rank it on your personal all-time fav R&B tracks?

Top 50?

Top 20?

Top 10?

Not ranked and it's wack to you? :scust:

Definitely in my personal top 20.

I love this song, it definitely tops 100 for me, but my favorites from him are "One Last Cry" and "Back At One"

I don't respect it. It's a blatant rip off of this.

Spokespeople for Me'shell N'degeocello say they aren't all that concerned about Brian McKnight's song "Anytime" which features a piano riff that's rather reminiscent of the opening of Me'shell's 1993 song "Outside Your Door".

When asked about the resemblance between McKnight's song (the title track of his latest album) and Me'shell's song (which first appeared on her 1993 album "Plantation Lullabies"), Me'shell's camp said only, "Her music speaks for itself.
McKnight's people, speaking for themselves, said he and a co-writer composed "Anytime" long before Me'shell ever landed a recording deal.
While that is quite likely, the McKnight song wasn't copywritten until last year.

I don't think Brian McKnight gets talked about enough when discussing top tier R&B singers.

-The Only One For Me
-Never Felt This Way
-Back Seat Gettin Down
-Back at One
-Anytime
-Love Of My Life
-One Last Cry
-The Way Love Goes
-Crazy Love

Brian's had a long career and a long list of hits and quality songs.

:gucci: I never knew this.

He better be glad Meshell was a fan. I hope he at least slid her some money on the low.

Thats why I’ll always mess wit the OG’s on TheColi. Never heard this song & if he did that now instead of the 90’s. He either get the Robin Thicke or Nicki Minaj settlement against him. :damn:
