For real for real. And that's why they say it's a quarterback driven league so that the credit for winning can go to a white guy. And why they love to say black quarterbacks like Lamar Jackson are running backs because they don't want to lose the hold on the quarterback position. Otherwise they'll end up being seen as irrelevant in terms of football playing.
They interviewed Jimmy G after SF beat the Packers as if he was the reason :mjlol:

Lovie Smith got fired after going 10-6.

That was egregiously wrong. And to add to that, he was also fired by the Buccaneers during year one of Jameis Winston. Smith was 2-14 prior to Winston, then went 6 - 10 in Winston's rookie year. They fired Smith because they stated they wanted to promote OC Dirk Koetter to head coach and not risk losing him to another team.

What's interesting is Zac Taylor had the same if not worse trajectory with his coaching. He was 2-14 in first year, then went 4-11-1 in Joe Burrows first year but was retained and allowed to have Burrow in year two. I'm not saying the Buccaneers would have gone to the Super Bowl in year 3, but it's crazy that Smith got the axe so fast and wasn't able to build around his first overall pick quarterback. And Smith was a proven head coach with multiple winning seasons and a Super Bowl appearance in the past, so it's not like he was someone who hadn't shown his worth before.

Him and Lovie.

Lovie gets fired at 10-6 and the #3 defense. Next season the Bears are the #30 defense.

Goes to Tampa first season 2-14, next season 6-10 with Jameis, gets fired because they thought the OC could get a job elsewhere. OC gets Bucs job, sucks, and gets fired.

Lovie out of the NFL.

Most of these teams firing black coaches end up hiring trash. They're not even upgrading.

Also the racist aspect is that they will never fire a black coach and hire a black coach as a replacement. but they have no problem firing a white coach and hiring a white coach as a replacement.

And three of those coaches were interims who took over after another coach was fired. There’s really only been 17 who coached at least one season.

And just think there are a bunch of teams that have never had a black head coach. I remember when the racist here on the radio in Dallas said they would riot if the cowboys hired Lovie when he was on his way out in Chicago.

About Mike Tomlin
He's successful, but goto Pittsburgh Steeler forums.
A lot of them want him fired and he's constantly criticized.
When your audience is mostly White, they may not care that the players are mostly Black.
But best believe they want the key positions: Owner, Coach and QB to be reserved for yt guys.

Terry Bradshaw has been campaigning for Tomlin to get fired for years. That's the reality for all black coaches. No matter how much you win, no matter what the circumstance is, your production is going to directly boil down to race shyt. You've got people to this day who deny Tomlin is a good coach, deny he's a smart coach. You never hear black coaches praised for being smart. When a great black coordinator loses a game, suddenly the reaction is "aha, I knew he was a fraud." Look at Fraizer in Buffalo and how people reacted to that Chiefs loss.

Honestly at this point I think a lot of guys should say fukk it and go to college man. Whether it's a HBCU or power 5...there are opportunities to coach football and lead men if that's what you want. Because it's clear the NFL will never change. You're either gonna be hired as the token while the team builds draft capitol, or you'll be fired too early.

RG3 pretty much confirmed what Hue Jackson was saying on SC. He said the players were confused by the random youth movement by the front office when they cut vets that proved that they should be starting. Lowkey ruined his chance at a comeback.

no offense to any of you Cali brehs on here but it seems like it’s a real big disconnect with the west coast and black folk/black culture in the south.

Hopefully we can bridge that gap one day
Stop looking at LA as California.

What really bothers me about this is how a lot of folks (either on here or elsewhere) fall into the very trap of black qb criticisms that the media likes to parrot around. Whever a black qb doesn't play or act like a traditional white qb they're deemed a problem and psychoanalyzed way harder than anyone else. All of their accomplishments are downplayed while their shortcomings are magnified

Lamar Jackson is the youngest MVP ever (among QBs) and people still act like he's a bum that can't throw despite tons of evidence to the contrary. Cam Newton is one of the most accomplished qbs ever (Juco champ, Heisman, National Champ, #1 pick, ROY, First team All-Pro, MVP) yet if you listened to the media you would think his career didn't amount to much of anything. I could go on but folks shouldn't buy into what the talking heads are saying when it comes to brothers playing QB. Unless you talk, play or act like white qbs the agenda will be against you

As a Lions fan I defended Caldwell's firing then and do so now. I don't think that proves Flores' point. The better point about Caldwell, which Flores later makes in his document, is that Caldwell didn't even sniff another job after that. A guy who won a SB as a coach AND as an OC can't even get another shot at OC, or even QB coach.

GMs should be able to hire their own coach. That Lions team saw a GM get fired after terrible start to the season, multiple embarrassing losses etc. We brought in a flunkie from the Patriots, and he kept Caldwell for two seasons. Two mediocre seasons. If you bring in a new GM it's only fair that he get to bring in his guy. That guy happened to be a fukking disaster (Patricia) but I still maintain my view. Caldwell had one really good season followed by a lot of mediocrity. Anyone who follows the team here will tell you that.

I'm not a Chargers fan but I've seen black posters here made similar arguments about Anthony Lynn. Personally I don't know enough about the situation. I will say this: Anthony Lynn came to Detroit and was our OC this season, and he was embarrassed and humiliated by a questionable first year coach who took play calling away from him after only a few games. Lynn was blamed for us not having any decent WRs at the time, and having Jared fukking Goff as QB. I simply don't believe that a white OC would have been treated that way.
