How the UK lost the Brexit battle

Your government and a percentage of your population are operating in absolute twilight-zone of anti intellectualism....

Everything is in writing and has been discussed ad nauseam and they keep trying to juelz.gif this alternate reality

It's fukking incredible

In the event they actually follow through on no deal Brexit the ramifications will have done more damage than Trump was able to accomplish in the US.

The UK has suffered an incredible amount of reputational damage with this fiasco. Countries like Singapore are actually saying damn homie in High School you was the man homie

The last three years have done the same for Singaporeans’ view of contemporary Britain. The nation they admired for stability, common sense, tolerance and realism grounded in fact, they see beset by division, obsessed with ideology, careless of the truth, its leaders apparently determined to keep on digging.

"I fear many around the world share their view," he said.

Outgoing UK diplomat slams ‘chaotic politics’ and Brexit ‘shambles’

Also all this Boris is going to go to Brussels like the Terminator is laughable esp if you read the article I linked previously. Some ppl are simply delusional and have never come to accept the reality of Britains standing in the modern world. Barnier and the EU have previously laughed at the notion of No Deal Brexit being used as gun to hold the EU hostage

Michel Barnier suggested, in an interview carried out in May for the BBC Panorama programme, that Theresa May’s negotiating team never tried to use the spectre of a no-deal Brexit despite calls from Tory hardliners to do so.

He said: “I think that the UK side, which is well informed and competent and knows the way we work on the EU side, knew from the very beginning that we’ve never been impressed by such a threat.”

Barnier added: “It’s not useful to use it.”

The UK would “have to face the consequences” of walking away without a deal, he said, adding the deal May negotiated was the only option that would allow “an orderly” exit.

Scottish Nationalists are creaming themselves. This is the best recruitment tool they've ever had. Boris stands for everything they're against. @Fenian come and take this W :wow:. A rich, Upper-Class Tory from the South who is perceived to be anti-Scottish

A lot of people are saying (tongue in cheek) that you could solve the Irish border problem by giving NI back to the Irish. Not sure how the UDA would feel about that though:huhldup:. Is BoJo really going to fukk up the Good Friday Agreement too???

New leaders esp “transitional” prime ministers usually enjoy a short high which is rarely sustained. It was the same for Gordon Brown in 2007 and Theresa May. Brown initially lifted Labour to 8% lead above Cameron's Tories.

Theresa May had a 24 point lead on Corbyn's Labour in April 2017 and then lost her outright majority... still one of the biggest self owns in politics I've ever seen

They’ve been trying to “solve” the Irish problem for hundreds of years.

The English are the ones who need to be “solved”.

I’m ignorant on this subject matter. What exactly is the pro/cons of brexit
Pros (by far the biggest)
- Escaping a bloated mess of a wanna be superstate that has it's own national anthem, violates UK sovereignty, has a president and wants to make a EU military force. Yet they say (and other dumbfukk pro EU people) it isn't becoming a superstate. LOL
- The chain reaction it'll cause in Europe.

:hhh:

Don't know whose alias this is, but at the moment the EU is proving a far more capable democracy than the UK at this moment. The new prime minister has just been voted in by 90 000 members without a mandate, in which to follow the course he's set out. So tell me in which to way has UK sovereignty been impeded? The UK has a veto against the creation of any EU army and with the results of the recent EU elections nothing but a pipe dream.

I'm pro Brexit.
The EU is a bloated disgusting mess and it must fall.

At the beginning I didn't really care, UK could do what it wanted. But after seeing the lying and whipping up of xenophobia, all the Brexiteers having no REAL plan on how to execute this whole thing with the least damage, and now BoJo coming in acting like he's Churchill with his Eton pals and suspect cabinet ministers like Priti Patel...

I honestly don't have the highest opinion of them anymore. The rational pro-Brexit crowd isn't in control, if they ever were a huge constituency, so you got a Trump wanna be. Good luck it's going to be bumpy ride.

Sinn Fein looking at Boris like :shaq: "Oh baby we bout to run this shyt"

Good, the republic should be restored :yeshrug: Don't cow to Unionist terrorists who've continued their reign of violence and corruption since the GFA

Boris will be the powderkeg that lights off all three separatist movements (Plaid Cymru will likely also get a huge boost) into overdrive. Glorious to see. :wow: SNP has the power to reshape the world in it's hands right now if a GE is called in the next 6 months.
