Here’s a part of this story that no one seems to focus on is how the state of Mississippi gives out so little in welfare assistance. Like TANF…a decade ago, almost 23k residents received. Today? 2200, which is a fckin shame considering the sheer amount of poverty along the Delta and racial wealth distribution. That’s the real story. Favre is just blip on the larger institutional failures and malfeasance of public servants at the state house and the governors mansion.
