WWE and Full Sail University Launch Partnership
WWE (NYSE: WWE) and Full Sail University announced today an innovative partnership that moves live tapings of WWE NXT series to Full Sail Live, the university’s state-of-the-art performance venue, and creates a new student scholarship fund.

Beginning May 17, 2012, students of the university’s entertainment-focused degree programs, including Film, Show Production, Digital Arts and Design, Internet Marketing and Entertainment Business, will have the opportunity to gain real-world experience working with WWE, a leader in global entertainment, to produce NXT.

Throughout the taping schedule, Full Sail University students, staff, faculty and the general public will be invited to attend the live tapings on the campus. All proceeds from ticket and merchandise sales will go towards a scholarship fund for students enrolled at or planning to attend Full Sail University.

I thought about going to Full Sail just to get a major in Music Production, but meh:francis:. Not liking the idea that the wrestlers in NXT not getting profit from their merchandise. So Naka pretty much got played off of that tip alone, unless his contract said otherwise:ld:

NXT is supposed to be a Bootcamp. Its a system designed to weed out people, not focus on their merch.

You have to look at it from a business side, why give them a cut if they stand no chance of making the main roster and contribute?

While this is true, why not keep it that way rather than make it a legit promotion? It should have been booked how it was many years ago when it was FCW. The idea that it's suppose to be an entity of itself, rather than training grounds for up and coming wrestlers seems kind of gross. Especially the fact that non of those wrestlers are getting paid their dues.

I know its not my judgement of such things since I don't have a territory to run, but on the real it should have been ran like the "Power Plant". Nothing more, nothing less.

NXT doesn't weed out anyone. :usure: They're overflowing with people. There are people who have stayed in NXT for years who aren't getting any closer to being main roster ready.

Hell, you have some of the main roster bytching about going to NXT, rather than sticking with the "Big leagues". There was an article a while back where the main roster actually were jealous of how NXT was run and how the roster got over with proper booking skills. Nothing boot camp about NXT at all:mjlol:.
